As of 10:00 this morning, light snow was still falling, and two feet of snow on the ground was making travel difficult throughout the area. Hundreds of flights at Denver International Airport have been cancelled or delayed, and many businesses and schools have closed for the day. However, the big story is still power outages due to the heavy snow breaking tree limbs around the Boulder area. In the foothills, the National Weather Service is reporting up to 44 inches of accumulation. Strong winds are still likely in eastern Colorado today, which will result in blizzard conditions and road closures.
For my students, as promised, you have a snow day - the Auraria Campus is closed for then entire day. Enjoy!
